Sometimes I just can't stop myself. I take my dear camera out of the bag and start shooting the scene from every possible angle. But then after a while when the excitement sets, I sense that I am obviously missing something. What about the people around me or why did I forget to consider this part of the view, why did I even take so many pictures and completely forgot to enjoy the moment?
Patience is a virtue that is difficult to master especially for photographers. Every now and then, I catch myself doing the exact thing I want to avoid. As theory teaches us, taking photographs takes time and thought. And this does not come without patience.
So the next time I want to capture this gorgeous sunset, I need to remind myself to take a deep breath, enjoy the moment and after that then maybe press the shutter.
“Why is patience so important? Because it makes us pay attention.”
— Paulo Coelho (Author of The Alchemist)
